How long is a 5K?
3.1 miles. You can expect the 5K to last approximately 45-60 minutes if you choose to walk it. If you’re a runner, it might fly by for you!
Do I have to be a runner to participate?
Nope! We want everyone to enjoy the day and to do the 5K at their own pace.
Is it timed?
No, the 5K is not timed. If you would like to keep track of your race time, we recommend using the timer on your cell phone or using smart watch.
Can I ride my bike through the route?
No bikes, skateboards, rollerblades/skates, or scooters are allowed for the safety of all attendees.
How much does registration cost?
Nothing! This is a free event for members and non-members. We encourage attendees to please bring a non-perishable food item instead to be donated to Central Wisconsin Community Action Council’s (CWCAC) food pantry.
What is included with registration?
Each 5K participant will receive a race tag for their shirt, and water and snacks after the 5K.
Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! All ages are welcome. Be sure to include the total number of people participating in the 5K when you register.
Can I bring my pets?
You sure can! Pets must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after (you know what we mean).
Should I bring any money with me the day of the event?
Food will be available for purchase from a variety of food trucks from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
What happens if it rains?
We’ll still host the event unless it’s not safe to do so. After the 5K we will have a large tent with a seating area and a tent for the band as well. Rain or shine, we’ll try our best to keep you covered!
