2021 Annual Meeting Minutes

The 34th Annual Meeting of Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative was held at the Friendship Office on Thursday, May 13, 2021, and was held via Facebook Live Streaming. Board Chair Aaron Hoernke called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.

Those in attendance were Chair Aaron Hoernke, Secretary Cheri Gibeaut, General Manager John West, Staff Assistant Heather Smith who served as recording secretary, IT Director Angela Phelps, Member Services Manager Mindy Kerska, and Marketing Coordinator Haley Melby. Attorney Niles Berman of Wheeler, Van Sickle & Anderson, who represents Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative in a legal capacity, joined via conference call.

General Manager West gave a safety message on safely digging.

Board Secretary Gibeaut read the Affidavit of Notice of Annual Meeting and Proof of Mailing.

General Manager West gave some highlights of 2020.

The meeting was turned over to Attorney Berman to handle the director election process and he announced the election results: Ethan Olson was elected to District 1 with 359 votes, Adam Jones was elected to District 2 with 510 votes. All bylaws were adopted: Bylaw 1 passed with 518 votes, Bylaw 2 passed with 540 votes, Bylaw 3 passed with 513 votes, Bylaw 4 passed with 500 votes, Bylaw 5 passed with 495 votes. The 2019 annual meeting minutes were approved with 525 votes, and the 2020 annual meeting minutes were approved with 523 votes.

Meeting adjourned at 5:16 pm.
