3 - Amount Due

4 - Details

Your account detail includes the following:

  • Residential or Seasonal Service – This billing’s kilowatt-hour usage. If you have more than one meter, i.e. electric heat, your usage and charges are detailed here.
  • Facility Charge – (A per day charge) The Facility Charge helps to cover the cost of bringing electricity to your home or business. Some of the items included in this charge are labor, trucks, wire, transformers and power poles to build and maintain the distribution system, plus insurance, interest and taxes.
  • Power Cost Adjustment – The Power Cost Adjustment that you see on your bill is an amount per kilowatt-hour that will either be added to or subtracted from your bill each month. This is determined by whether our wholesale power suppliers charged ACEC more or less to generate and deliver power to us, than the price that was set at the time of the rate implementation. The credit or charge to each account is passed through as a power cost adjustment rather than having to negotiate new rate agreements every time the cost of fuel for generation raises or lowers.
  • Sales Taxes, when applicable – This is charged on the June through November bill statements for primary Wisconsin residents.
  • WI Non-Taxable Program Charge – This monthly fee is required under state of Wisconsin legislation. The fees are aimed at improving energy conservation and providing low-income energy assistance.
  • Additional Charges – If applicable, such as Operation Round Up, RenewNow, yard lights and surge protection.
