About the Adams-Columbia Youth Leadership Congress
Youth Leadership Congress gives high school students the opportunity to learn about cooperatives and demonstrates the value of cooperation in everyday life. It provides a healthy forum for the examination and discussion of today's crucial teen issues. The Youth Leadership Congress is held on a college campus and offers a taste of life in the dorms, campus food and attending classes.

For high school sophomores and juniors
Limited to students of families served by Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative
All expenses are paid, including lodging, transportation and meals

Students are encouraged to enter an essay contest and possibly win one of three educational scholarships. They can also compete for a seat on the Youth Board and have a hand in planning next year's program. Best of all, the three-day Youth Leadership Congress is an all-expense paid trip sponsored entirely by Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative.
The Youth Leadership Congress program was first established in 1963. The annual three-day conference is co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Electric Cooperative Association, the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and the rural electric cooperatives of Wisconsin. The conference is scheduled in mid July.
Who is eligible? High School sophomores and juniors from all families served by Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative. Students must not have reached their 18th birthday to be eligible.
How does a student apply? Students can be recommended by a high school guidance counselor, teacher, parent or grandparent. Interested students are asked to complete an easy application form which is available each year in May.
